Having considered the candidates who are running this time, this advice is primarily based on the fact that the Lib Dems are the only progressive party standing, against Reform and the Tories. In the 2023 Torridge District Council elections, the Lib Dems were a clear second to the Tories. In the May 2025 County Council elections, the Torrington Rural division, which contains this ward, was won by the Lib Dems over Reform.
There is only 1 candidate opposing regressive parties here - this is who we are recommending.
