This advice is not primarily based on the election result the last time this ward was fought - in the 2023 local elections, when an Independent won the seat over the Tories and the Lib Dems. Rather, having considered the candidates who are running this time (which do not include Green or Labour), the advice based on the more recent contest in May 2025 for the Devon County Council in the Seaton & Colyton division (which includes this ward), which the Lib Dems won easily over Reform with an Independent far behind.
